Abstract

Reliable channel modeling is critically important terahertz (THz) wireless communication applications. Considering the complexity of practical THz non-line-of-sight links, this paper presents a joint multipath-shadow-weather fading channel modeling approach, which investigates the influences of various weather conditions as well as multipath and shadow fading by utilizing the overall least squares method for stochastic processes. Simulation results have shown that the proposed modeling method can well describe the THz wireless channel in presence of multipath and shadow fading under sunny, rain, snow and fog weathers.
