Abstract
Isomerization is an attractive strategy to manipulate the properties of compounds by keeping the same molecular formula. Herein, we present the preparation of five bis(nitro-iodopyrazole)methanes isomers (4–8) with high iodine content of 68.44%. They show good thermal stability (Td = 283–374 °C), mechanical sensitivity (IS = 60 J, FS = 144–160 N) as well as low hygroscopic property. In addition, compounds 4–8 exhibit proper detonation properties (D: 4398–4833 m/s, P: 13.0–17.5 GPa) as energetic biocidal compounds, the relationship between their properties and structures is systemically analyzed and discussed.
