Abstract

An inverse radiation problem is considered to reconstruct the radiative source term distribution in axisymmetric absorbing-emitting medium, from the knowledge of the exit radiative energy image captured by the CCD camera. The inverse problem is formulated using a combined method of Abel transform and an expanded discrete ordinate method. Through adding random noise to the exact results calculated by solving the forward problem, the experiment measurement data are simulated, and the estimation accuracy of the algorithm is investigated. Test results show that the source term can be estimated accurately, even with noisy data.
