Abstract

The experimental setup for measuring the interface deformation field based on single-camera 3D digital image correlation (3D DIC) has been established. The setup employs a four-mirror adapter to achieve single-camera stereo imaging and establishes a single-camera 3D DIC measurement platform for the high-precision observation of the three-dimensional deformation field and three-dimensional effects of type II dynamic frictional rupture interfaces. The results demonstrate that our method successfully captured the three-dimensional displacement evolution of the interface during the rupture propagation. The out-of-plane displacement is influenced by the Poisson effect, exhibiting a trend of initial expansion followed by rebound during rupture propagation. This study not only enhances the accuracy of observing the three-dimensional deformation of dynamic frictional rupture interfaces but also provides important experimental evidence for understanding the mechanisms of frictional rupture.
