Abstract
To support the applications of the tabular layouts of article characteristics (SML) technology in the product design, process, manufacturing and measurement, the integration technology of Computer Aided Technology (CAx) and Product Data Management (PDM) system was studied based on the SML. An integrated product information model and the system integration architecture of CAx/PDM based on SML were brought forward. And a prototype integration platform was also developed. Finally, an application example of steam turbine rotor was provided to validate the feasibility of the system.
