Integrated manufacturing technology of pipe welding assembly process in spacecraft

Abstract

To improve the reliability of spacecraft, a new integrated manufacturing method for spacecraft pipe's welding assembly was proposed by combining with the engineering practice in the spacecraft pipe's development. The overall technical outline of this method was presented, and the business process was established on this basis. The five key technologies such as the integrated data management for welding assembly process, the assessment of capacity of manufacturing, the simulation of pipe's NC bending process, the pipe model's comparison and the pipe's digital flexible welding assembly were discussed. The integrated manufacturing system for spacecraft pipe's welding assembly was developed and validated by examples. Through the application of digital methods, the transition from traditional manual mode to digital integrated manufacturing mode was accomplished with the whole pipe's manufacturing process modeling and simulation technology.
