Information integration for numerical control workshop

Abstract

Based on the analysis of Numerical Control (NC) workshop operation procedure and equipment environment, the integration framework of workshop's execution activity and information flow model were formulated. Solution to the digital information system integration in manufacturing workshop was put forward based on the Web Services and component technology. Distributed Component Object Model (DCOM) technology was used to design function components and their encapsulation so as to realize integration of function modules in the system. Information promulgator and visitor were employed to achieve the integration between the system and outer environment by the Web Services standard interface. A prototype system was developed. This system could realize inner and outer NC workshop information integration with extensibility, reconfigurability, and maintainability.
