Abstract
The information cooperation model was proposed in distributed environment, e.g. virtual enterprise. And a CORBA/IIOP based distributed object management was designed. The design includes the definition of distributed object, the architecture for region object management and the associated metadata management. Region was adopted as a basic management unit of the global object management. The model provides a general and dynamic approach for information cooperation. It is general, because any node residing on network can be mapped into a distributed object which belongs to either role level or information level. It is dynamic, because each object may ask join-in or withdraw-from request from the cooperation model dynamically. Now, this model has been applied in a CORBA/IIOP based virtual enterprise information integrating system-ViaScope.
