Abstract

The nanometer Ag film is made by MBE on the surface of Si(100). The SEM and the fourier transform infrared spectroscopy were used to study the appearance and the IR transmittance spectra of the nanometer Ag thin films. Analysis result shows that the mean size of Ag particles increases gradually with the substrate temperature increasing; With the anneal temperature increasing, the particles of the annealed films become more clear, and the absorption intensity of IR increases, and the absorption bands become broad.
