Abstract

To study the influence of fuze detonation strategy on Explosion Point Depth(EPD) under uncertain penetration conditions, the numerical experiments was designed based on the Latin Hypercube Sampling(LHS). The numerical simulations were performed by using the rapid computational method in which the penetration force function replaces the contact force between the projectile and target. The EPD control accuracy of five kinds of fuze detonation strategy and their influence factors were researched under uncertain penetration conditions. The accuracy of EPD of the fuze detonation strategies from low to high is time delay<setting impulse<setting energy<setting axial displacement<setting vertical displacement. The strategies, such as setting axial displacement and setting vertical displacement, can be applied to different targets. Under the conditions of same setting value, the depth obtained by the two strategies is basically the same. The effect of the uncertainty of penetration velocity on the strategy of time delay is remarkable, and the effect on the strategy of setting displacement is little. The yaw angle and attack angle are the chief factors affecting the accuracy of the strategy of setting displacement.
