Abstract

A new topology optimization model is presented based on the ICM (independent continuous mapping) method. Filter functions of elements with respect to the unit volume and stiffness matrices are selected based on RAMP interpolation scheme with different parameters. Compared with topology model based on SIMP interpolation scheme, difference of the new model lies only on expression and numerical value of derivatives. So methods for topology optimization model are developed and the same algorithm for the new model is ensured. The new topology optimization model was illustrated by examples of topology optimization problems with different parameters. The results demonstrated the feasibility for topology optimization modelling with the proposed model.
