Abstract

In this paper, an improved backward ray-tracing SBR method is proposed, which involves constructing a BVH using bounding spheres and employing ray-beam intersection tests. Compared with existing SBR approaches, the proposed method utilizes a unique BVH to rapidly and accurately predict illuminated patches before backward tracing. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by the simulation results.
