Abstract

To solve the problem of acquiring the PN (pseudo noise) code rapidly under low SNR (signal-noise ratio) environment for a PN code acquisition system, the PN code acquisition method based on radix-2 FFT is analyzed, and the common data interpolation algorithms adopted by this method are discussed and a new algorithm, Sine data interpolation, is presented. This algorithm uses the Sine interpolation filter to implement the precise data interpolation to satisfy the demand for the data samples number of radix-2 FFT. The simulation indicates that the radix-2 FFT acquisition system using Sine data interpolation method has better performance than zero-padding method and linear interpolation method. Sine data interpolation method is more suitable for those systems which have a stringent demand for low SNR environment and acquisition time.
