Abstract

An approach taking advantage of information assessed from seeker to improve the efficiency in coordination of fuze and warhead is presented. This method for the identification of target miss in azimuth makes use of the projection in missile body coordinate system of line-of-sight rate between the missile and target. Mathematical expression for identifying the target miss in azimuth is inferred by analyzing the relative state of motion of the missile and target in the rendezvous phase. According to a kind of feedback loop of seeker, a project is designed to obtain the needed information on identification. An example is given to analyze the precision in identification of target miss in azimuth. Results of simulation indicate the precision of target miss in azimuth as identified by this method can satisfy the requirements of coordination of the fuze and the warhead.
