Abstract

A new compound [As₈^IIIV₁₄^IVO₄₂ (CO₃)][Cu(en)₂]₃·10H₂O (1) has been synthesized from V₂O₅, As₂O₃, CuCl₂·2H₂O, en and H₂C₂O4·2H₂O in aqueous solution using the hydrothermal metho d and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. X-ray crystallography reveals that 1 is a novel two-dimensional framework material constructed from the mixed As/V polyoxometalates and coordination groups.
