Abstract

A novel polyoxometalate compound, [As8V14O 42(SO4)][Ni(en)2]3·4.5H 2O (1), has been synthesized by a hydrothermal method and characterized by X-ray crystallography, showing that the compound 1 is the first example of a sinusoidal layer structure constructed from polyoxometalates and coordination complex fragments.
