Abstract

The hydroboration reaction was historically catalyzed by transition metals. Nevertheless, the known aluminum hydride catalyst supported by β-diketimines ligand for catalyzing the hydroboration reaction of acid anhydride compounds reduces pollution and the cost associated with those heavy metals while broadening the synthesis pathway of organoboranes. Most importantly, this innovative substance has not been previously reported. In this regard, this research investigates the excellent performance of the aluminum hydride catalyst in the hydroboration of acid anhydrides, observing short reaction times and high yields. Furthermore, we found long-term stability as well as recyclability in LAlH2, proven to be an environmentally friendly green catalyst.
