Abstract

Hybrid-architecture Internet resource sharing and remote control laboratory (HAILab) based on composite architecture of Client/Server and Browser/Server is presented, which provides a multifunctional platform for postgraduates, doctor candidates and researchers to study and research remote automatic control based on Internet. In HAILab, one can study Internet-based remote experiments, share devices and networked control systems (NCS) and etc. The equipment in the system is highly self-organized and able to form desired NCSs dynamically. A single-degree-of-freedom robot-arm and a helicopter model are used as examples in HAILab, which could be operated through local area network (LAN). The development prospect of HAILab in authors' opinion is presented following above examples.
