Abstract

A method for modulating the amplitude and the phase independently is proposed to realize the holographic display with reduced speckle noise by a phase-only spatial light modulator (SLM) and a filtering architecture. The presented technique is applied to overcome the limitation of phase-only SLM in the reconstruction of three-dimensional objects.
