Abstract

Traffic congestion, traffic safety, environmental pollution, energy consumption have become important and socially relevant topics, which have impacted the development of social and economic. Considerable research has been performed to improve our solutions to alleviate the traffic problems. Nowadays, due to rapid traffic demand, there is increasing urgency in improving traffic conditions especially for safety performance. This paper presents the new achievement of technologies and theories in the field of green Intelligent Transportation Systems. Finally, future directions for research aimed at transportation performance were discussed in detail.
