The convergence of green finance (GF) and the digital economy (GE) is transforming the global financial landscape by offering innovative solutions to environmental challenges while promoting economic growth. This entry examines GF—its definitions, principles, and evolution—to mobilize capital for sustainable development and environmental conservation. It explores how advancements in the DE present opportunities to amplify the impact of GF by enhancing transparency, accessibility, and innovation. Challenges such as the digital divide, cybersecurity risks, data privacy concerns, and the environmental impact of digital infrastructures are addressed.
