Abstract
An optical period-doubling sequence that can be implemented in a fiber laser with a semiconductor laser amplifier in loop mirror (SLALOM) with the low bias current of the SLA and high optical power in laser cavity is presented. The scheme has potential applications in optical clock division. Comparatively, optical periodical sequence is also realized in this laser with the high bias current of the SLA and low optical power in the laser cavity.
