Abstract

A new nonlinear generalized guidance law is presented and evaluated which is called generalized State-Dependent Riccati-Equation trajectory shaping guidance (GSDRETSG). The guidance law obtained by the solution of the State-Dependent Riccati-Equation regulator problem can achieve to hit the target in an arbitrary specified direction with high accuracy. To ensure a successful hit and high precision in the desired impact angle we propose two guidance logics for the practical application in engineering. The performance of the proposed guidance law is investigated using one application case. It is demonstrated that the GSDRETSG law is capable of producing trajectories satisfying the permissible range of the miss distance and the terminal impact angle. In addition, user can adjust the design parameters to get particular performance objectives and even schedule them as the functions of the missile-target distance for different weapon conditions.
