Abstract
The pressure sensors have attracted much attention owing to their potential applications in areas such as health monitoring and human-computer interaction. Nevertheless, high-frequency cyclic pressure action causes irreversible loss of the device, and it is also a huge challenge to construct pressure sensors without temperature disturbance resistance on flexible substrates by simple process. Here, we prepared a highly sensitive flexible pressure sensor based on multi-walled carbon nanotubes and graphene oxide. The pressure sensor has a low temperature coefficient of resistance, high cyclic stability (2500 cycles), fast response time (83 ms) and excellent sensitivity at 0-90 kPa. Furthermore, the impact of the thickness of encapsulation layer on the performance of pressure sensors was further verified by using PDMS encapsulated sensors with different thicknesses. With the sensors independent structure, the sensing unit can be flexibly extended into a glove, which in turn controls the robotic arm without impact by temperature variations. The results indicate that the pressure sensor has great potential for application in multifunctional and simultaneous sensing scenarios due to its exceptional non-destructive detection, scalability, as well as good sensing performance.
