Abstract

Lithium sulfur batteries, with a theoretical energy density of 2600 Wh-kg−1merit attention for potential applications in next-generation battery systems. Flexible lithium sulfur batteries will help realize the design and application of high-performance bendable/foldable/wearable electronic devices. Flexible electrode material is a key component, which simultaneously serve as electrical conductive skeleton, ion diffusion pathways, and mechanical supports. In this chapter, the characteristics of flexible lithium–sulfur battery, especially the development of the flexible sulfur cathode, are briefly introduced. The future research opportunities of flexible lithium sulfur batteries are discussed.
