Abstract

This paper proposes a finite-time state tracking controller for second-order systems with parameter variables and external disturbances. Firstly, by introducing a continuous time-varying function, a novel finite-time fractional order sliding mode controller is proposed by which not only the reaching phase is eliminated, but also the tracking error can converge to zero in finite time. Then, a high order sliding mode observer is proposed to estimate the derivative of the state variable. Lumped disturbances can be estimated to improve the accuracy of the system by the observer. Finally, simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed approaches.
