Abstract

order to eliminate the hysteresis error of piezoceramic servo-tool during non-axisymmetric curved surface turning, three feedforward controlling mathematical models have been established, i.e. voltage increasing model, peak voltage dropping model and arbitrary point voltage dropping model. After many feedforward controlling compensation experiments, the maximal displacement error is 0. 05 μm. The results of the experiments indicated that the way of compensating the displacement error based on the feedforward controlling mathematical models can lower the hysteresis error greatly during machining, therefore the precision of non- axisymmetric curved surface can be improved.
