Abstract

A pair of novel chiral one-dimensional compounds with the general formula [Cd(NO₃)₂L₂]·THF (where L is R- or S-2,2′-bis(methoxymethoxy)-6,6′-bis(4-pyridyl)-1,1′-binaphthyl) for the first time show circularly polarized luminescence, two-photon excited fluorescence, and second harmonic generation activity.
