Abstract

Impact damage to PBX explosives was produced by explosive detonation and its density measured. The meso-structure characterization of damaged explosives was studied making use of scanning microscopy. It carried out the study of shock initiation at the same time. The results showed that the wave blast surface was raised and the sensitivity increased to damaged explosives.
