Abstract

Preliminary experimental investigation is done by means of model tests, trying to understand the characteristics of dust agglomerating on the collecting wall of the electrostatic cyclonic precipitator. Relationship between the behaviors of dust on the wall and the collecting efficiency was discussed. The efficiency of the testing cyclone, when enhanced by electricity, is increased 3%-7%, and the maximal value of the efficiency could achieve 99.6%. When the running time increased, the deposition on the wall was increased too, but the collecting efficiency dropped. The testing model could clean itself when the inlet velocity reached 15 m/s.
