Abstract

Introduce the regularity of the pressure distribution when explosive in a vehicle is exploded, the value of air shock wave pressure produced by different amounts of explosives in or out of a vehicle was tested. The experimental results show that, when explosive initiated in vehicles, the field of shock wave pressure is not distributed evenly and the pressure would soon be getting attenuated quickly, with the pressure near the doors being evidently higher than at the back of the car, the experiments also prove that pressure outside the vehicles is also relatively higher than in the open air. With the former being about 1.0-2.2 times higher than the latter, which proves that the reflection of shock wave is actually more evident than the restriction effect. On the basis of data monitored, the reflection effect of shock wave cannot be neglected, also the outer pressure of explosive explode in vehicles is proved higher than explosive exploded in free air.
