Exact modeling for the influence of the von Karman radome on antennas

Abstract

Based upon the equivalence principle and surface integral equations, the exact model of the dipole antenna and Yagi-Uda antenna in the presence of the von Karman radome is established using the method of moments (MoM), respectively. The singularities in the numerical integration are treated carefully by adding and subtracting the same singular term. Numerical results for the effect of the von Karman radome on the above-mentioned antennas are presented.
