Abstract

In order to overcome the arbitrariness of port evaluation, a new port evaluation model was proposed by using entropy weight-TOPSIS. Firstly, the evaluation index of man-machine-cargo-environment-management was put forward based on analyzing the port security management system. Secondly, a comprehensive evaluation model based on entropy weight-TOPSIS was constructed. Finally, an empirical study was carried out by collecting the data from ten representative domestic port enterprises. Results show that the proposed model can effectively improve the objectivity and reliability of the evaluation results, which can help the port enterprises to find security issues in time, and then give a direction to the port enterprises for reducing the accident rate.
