Abstract

The enhanced cascaded iteration for polarimetric space-time adaptive processing is studied in the paper. In the processor, the signal vector to be detected (SiVD) is firstly estimated via a modified least square method (mLSM). Then, the clutter plus noise covariance matrix (CNCM) is enhanced to estimate by a new approach which can be directly used to other signal processing methods based on the same antenna model. Before iterative processing, the SiVD and CNCM are converted by a dimension-reduced matrix. The filter weight vector is designed and obtained by a separated and iterative way in the polarization and space-time domains, respectively. Simulation results show that the proposed polarimetric processor has a better improvement factor performance and less samples requirement with the existing low computational cost schemes.
