Abstract

Effects of iron phthalocyanine (FePc) on the floating-charge performance of nickel metal hydride batteries were examined. The battery with FePc of appropriate quantity (1 mg in a battery) displayed a better capability of floating charge and discharge than that without FePc. The battery with 1 mg FePc showed the best charging efficiency and cycleability and also the slowest increasing speed of inner pressure after 2000 times of charge and discharge.
