Abstract

Dynamic tension tests were conducted by employing SHTB to study the fracture behavior of 91% (mass fraction) tungsten alloy with three kinds of grain sizes of 2.5μm and 20μm. The dynamic mechanical properties of tungsten alloys under different strain rates were analyzed. The effects of grain size on the mechanical characteristics were discussed. By adopting SEM, the fracture section of the specimen after the dynamic tension tests were scanned and the fracture modes of the tungsten alloys under different strain rates were investigated.
