Abstract
The shifting process for a power-shift steering transmission system on a high-speed tracked vehicle, was analyzed using a dynamic system model of the components. The dynamic simulation was solved using the Matlab/Simulink toolbox to study the dynamic performance of the power-shift steering transmission system during startup and acceleration. A fuzzy shift control system was developed to provide better dynamic control. The results showed that the simulation accurately represented the fuzzy shift control system and the dynamic vehicle performance. The fuzzy algorithm provided a more valid and effective method to control the vehicle during startup, acceleration and shifting.
