Abstract
In order to get the dynamic mechanical properties and constitutive relation of the ship-built steel 907A, the stress-strain curve within the scope of 0.00033~2680 s-1 under quasi static stretching and dynamic compression condition was derived using the static testing machine and split Hopkinson press bar (SHPB). The Johnson-Cook (JC) model and Cowper-Symonds (CS) model were compared and the hardening effect of strain was corrected based on the CS model. The results showed that ship-built steel 907A has a remarkable effect in strengthening strain rate and hardening nonlinear strain, and the CS model can describe the effect of strengthening strain more exactly than JC model.
