Abstract

The mechanism of the rigid and flexible coupled dynamic model was analyzed from the basic theory of the flexible dynamic to obtain the dynamic characteristic of gear shaft system response. A rigid and flexible coupled virtual prototype of multi-stage gear transmission was built. The prototype takes into account comprehensively the flexible features in different directions of transmission shaft, the dynamic behavior of the wet shift clutch, and the effect of time-varying gear meshing force on dynamic response of shafts. The simulation results demonstrate the feasibility of obtaining the load map by the technique of virtual prototype, which can be used to predict the fatigue life of the shaft and study the vibration of gear box.
