Double-Layer Full-Corporate-Feed SIW Slot Array Antenna in the W-Band

Abstract

A W-band corporate-feed substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) 4×4-slot array antenna is proposed with the advantages of small size, high aperture efficiency, easy-to-integrate and low cost. This antenna can be fabricated easily by bulky sillicon MEMS technology which has the advantages of high precision and low loss. The radiating elements and the feed SIW are well-designed to suppress the sidelobe level of the subarray. Simulated results shows that the realized gain of the antenna are higher than 13 dBi with 90% aperture efficiency in the frequency band of 92.55-96.97 GHz. Besides, the relative bandwidth of VSWR < 1.5 is about 5%.
