Discrimination of polyethylene materials by fuzzy cluster analysis

Abstract

To develop a method of discriminating of polyethylene materials, polyethylene materials were analyzed by pyrolysis gas chromatography and then be classified by fuzzy cluster analysis. The result showed that the high density, low density and line-low density polyethylene materials produced by different factories were classified correctly. The method provides a new way for discrimination of polymer materials.
