Abstract
Power balance of engine-off operation for electric drive tracked vehicle and discharge characteristic of traction battery were derived theoretically, the discharge efficiency map of ideal traction battery was given on Eb-P plane. The effect of different load power and discharge depth on battery efficiency was analyzed, so the economic driving conditions and a method to forecast range in engine-off operation were brought forward. DC pulse discharge method was used to measure traction battery efficiency, and the forecast experiment for range in engine-off operation was finished. The matching theory between load power and traction battery is proved effectively.
