Abstract

We have demonstrated a laser diode pumped Nd:YVO₄ laser that produced 273 mW cw output at 671 nm with a KTP crystal as intracavity frequency doubler. The optical-optical conversion efficiency of the all-solid-state red laser was 5.1%.
