Abstract

For the study of new dielectric embedded Yagi antenna to provide an experimental and theoretical basis, a configuration of the Dielectric Embedded Patch Symmetric Element Antenna (DEPSEA) is given, using microstrip line technology and antenna theory as well as microstrip patch antenna theory. The antenna is made by a layer of dielectric the same as the substrate of microstrip line seamlessly covered in the positive of deformation microstrip line. The metal parts of the antenna are completely embedded in the dielectric. There are many performance characteristics the same as in microstrip unit antenna. Besides, it clearly shortened the length of the antenna. The configuration and performance parameters of DEPSEA are determined by numerical simulation. It is proved that this kind of structure is reasonable by tests.
