Development Status of Linear Steering Gear for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle

Abstract

As the key equipment to control the flying attitude of UAV, servo actuator plays an important role in the control accuracy and safety of UAV. The performance of servo actuator directly determines the flight quality and dynamic quality of UAV. For unmanned helicopters, large fixed-wing UAVs and other types of UAVs, the steering gear not only needs to provide greater torque, but also faces greater vibration and impact from the outside world, so the performance of the steering gear is also put forward higher requirements. This paper mainly introduces the development status of linear servo actuator with high control precision and strong impact resistance. It is found that the linear servo has higher control precision and stronger impact resistance. The advantages and disadvantages of hydraulic linear steering gear and electric linear steering gear are classified and summarized, and it is found that electric linear steering gear has gradually replaced hydraulic steering gear in the field of UAV application more and more widely. The importance of the development of electric linear steering gear in the field of UAV in the future is put forward, which will play an important guiding role in the development of UAV technology in the future.
