Abstract

With the increasing number of cavity-tuned H masers in use around the world in time scales, it is necessary to develop the long-term stability and have a complete understanding of the environmental sensitivities of the masers. We got support form CAS (Chinese Academy of Sciences) to develop 2 H masers for time keeping purpose in 2003 and these 2 H masers were transported to NTSC (National Time Service Center) early in 2005.Here we will give the design ideas and performance of the high performance H masers. We are sure this SOHM-4 mode H maser's performance is better than 3E-15/day. The longer-term performance was testing at NTSC in local time scale system. This paper also gives the performance compared with Symmetricom H masers at the same laboratory and some report from BIPM.
