Abstract

The design of a radar vehicle detector based on TMS320F240 is introduced. The vehicle detector makes use of LFMCW radar's range-measuring principle in detecting vehicles. To improve the ability of real-time processing, FIR numbers are used in the data processing and stored in the digital signal processor. TMS320F240 is chosen as the main signal processor as a low cost high integration degree DSP. The experiments proved that the precision of detection in velocity and amount is up to 95%.
