Development and experimental study on electronic control system for unit pump in diesel engine

Abstract

An ECU of electronic unit pump was developed and diesel engine management system named micro real time kernel (μRTK) and a fast response solenoid valve driving circuit were designed. The controlling strategy based on the crankshaft angle for injection timing and injection duration was put forward while the controlling precision is controlled within 1° CA. Experimental study on injection timing MAP calibration, engine power performance and fuel economy were conducted and better results were acquired. The EUP fuel injection system has prospective application in medium or heavy diesel engines.
