Abstract

To provide the detection electrode with directional property as well as to prevent the disturbance from the electric fields in other directions, a local earth-shield detection unit is introduced in the detection system. A detector array is disposed with laying a shield cylinder around each detection electrode. Feasibility of detection of electrostatic volume target by this system has been validated.
