Abstract

In this paper, an unstructured road in the campus is investigated and the images of both sides of the road are collected by a monocular camera. First of all, by analyzing and comparing some commonly used image processing methods, an optimal method to preprocess the original image is selected, such as using the cutting means to exclude the image of independent elements and choosing Canny operator to detect the image. Then, on the basis of using Hough transform to detect the information of lines, the lane lines are identified and marked. After that, by observing the statistics of the left and the right angles between two sides of the lane lines and the axis of the vehicle in different position of the road, a lane departure warning model is established. In the end, the simulation results show the validity of the proposed scheme of the detection algorithm of lane lines and the lane departure warning model.
